Yes it is 3D but you have to use pictures only shot with their app...

4 out of 5 stars

Yes it is 3D but you have to use pictures only shot with their app…
I was hoping I could use my existing 2D pictures as well or convert them but you have use pictures taken with their app which was big disappointment for me to be honest. How ever Using their app you do get a weird kind of stretched 3D Effect on what ever you take a picture of. So yes it does create some kind of a 3D Effect! It comes with several images so that you can try the 3D effect right out of the box.For the price it’s kind of cute novelty, and has a 32GB capacity, and the images look pretty good, you can do a slide show, but you can’t use it like a regular digital picture frame because you have to use only pictures shot with their app.I had no problem setting up the app or registering it. So It should be fun to play with and shoot some new 3D image to view on the frame. Would probably be fun for any one age 12+ that has a Android or IOS Smartphone.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cool 3D effect but app and build need improvement

This 3D photo frame offers a cool visual effect that’s great for portraits and decor. While it works as advertised, the cheap build quality, eye strain, and app issues hold it back from being perfect.

I was very interested in this product. I love the 3-D Effect. it works very well and actually gives off the 3D Effect. It’s very easy to use and set up. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a fun piece of decor. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1.0 out of 5 stars Unusable Without App, App Itself is Unusable

Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2024

Color: BlackAmazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What’s this? )

I had high hopes for this digital frame, but the frame is unusable without the companion App, and the App itself is unusable. The app requires you to sign up for an account, not a problem, lots of apps do. However, when you go to register an account, you can put in your email address and chosen password, but then it asks for a ‘Verification code’, but since you haven’t registered yet, there’s no way for you to receive the verification code. Since you can’t put in a verification code, you can’t register and therefore can’t use the app. Since the frame doesn’t work without the app, it’s useless.

I sent an email about this to the product support, no response. Entered this info in a review on the App Store, also no response. So, be warned – until/unless they fix the app, this digital frame is basically only good as a paperweight. I’ll keep checking to see if they fix the app, and if so, I’ll update this review, but it’s staying at 1 star (wish I could give 0 stars!) until they fix the unusable app.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kind of fun frame

This frame works well overall. I will say that the 3d effect makes the image kind of weird. To look at it seems to be disorienting to your eyes. It is just kind of strange to look at. It does what it is advertised to do. I think for the right type of image it is a pretty cool setup.

3.0 out of 5 stars Strange and fascinating device. Does actually emulate a 3d effect.

The media could not be loaded.

It actually does have a mild 3d effect that reminds me of the old hologram baseball cards.

I won’t lie, I saw this and was particularly interested to see if it’s something like a Nintendo 3DS. I don’t think it’s doing a alternating flashy thing to emulate 3d, but it is doing something where it’s showing a slightly altered picture. It looks like the effect is using the position of both your eyes because there is a transition point as you view it and go left and right where the whole image begins to looks like a blurry mess of two images.

The effect is neat though. Really neat. Some photos show the effect a lot more pronouncedly than others. It looks to do a lot better with portraits with soft bokeh backgrounds over things like landscape shots with more in focus. Sadly there isn’t anywhere in the software or hardware to adjust the strength of the effect, and it seems to be baked in so when you are going through the menus and so on the whole screen is very eye messing and ugly to look at with just a plain white background and text to read.

The frame isn’t exactly incredible. It feels pretty cheap and plasticky. The screen itself is bright and has nice color tone. The viewing angle isn’t steep but that’s compounded by the 3d effects needing you to be in a sweet spot.

Getting the frame setup is not international market ready. It requires you to setup an account and when you register your account you get an email in 99% Chinese with the only characters that are in non Chinese the letters 3D and whatever your verification code is. The APP thankfully is pretty easy to use, if someone limited, and is quick to upload your images to your frame.

I will say that this thing works as it should. Looking at my monitor writing this and looking back at the frame is giving me a mild headache though. The effect is really cool to see and this monitor would be a talking point for anyone who sees it.

If the video doesn’t rotate, apologies ahead of time, but you can at least see how the 3d effect is attempted. It looks A LOT better in person.
